Hello, and welcome to the very first Jarhaven devlog!
A new name
If you’ve been following along, you might know this game as PocketVeil. It’s now called Jarhaven, and this is its new home.
What is Jarhaven?
Jarhaven is a cosy island village builder that lives on your desktop. A tiny voxel island sits in a glass jar: you shape it with sand, water, lava and a digging hand, place homes, and watch a small village work, chat, make friends and grow from Flint Days to Iron Ring, in real time, even while the jar is closed.
Where it’s at
Jarhaven is coming to Steam Early Access. It’s playable and still being built, and new eras and features will be added over roughly the next two years.
The trailer is out
The first Jarhaven trailer is out now. You can watch it on YouTube, or on the home page.
A festival preview
Festivals are coming to Jarhaven, and there’s a new festival preview on the site: an early look at a village feast, plus concept pieces for festival decorations across the first three eras. It’s all work in progress, so things may change.
